A Letter For When You Are Feeling Nervous
Hey,
So you're feeling nervous, and that's ok. I wanted to share a few thoughts that might help settle those fluttering butterflies in your stomach.
First and foremost, remember that feeling nervous is completely natural. It's our body's way of recognizing the significance of an event and preparing us to give our best. But here's the good news: while our feelings are valid, they don't define our capacity or potential. Underneath those nerves lies a wealth of strength, talent, and experience that you've cultivated over the years.
Think back to all the challenges you've faced, the obstacles you've overcome, and the lessons you've learned. Each of these moments has been a stepping stone, preparing you for this very day. The positive aspects of your life have shaped you into the resilient individual you are today.
One effective positive technique I've come across is to take a deep breath and visualize the event unfolding smoothly. See yourself engaging confidently, feeling empowered, and leaving a positive mark. Visualization can be a powerful tool to reframe our mindset and boost our confidence.
Remember,
It's okay to acknowledge your fears but don't let them hold you back.
Embrace the event as an opportunity to grow, to learn, and to showcase your capabilities. After all, every challenge we face is just a stepping stone in our journey, and this event is no different.
Lastly, remind yourself that you have a community, a tribe, a group of friends and family members (including me) who believe in you, who are cheering you on, and who will always have your back, no matter the outcome.
Take this event as a positive thinking activity, one where you practice facing fears and emerging stronger on the other side. And always remember the first step towards any achievement, big or small, is the courage to try.
I'm confident that with time, experiences like these will seem less daunting, and you'll look back on them as defining moments that shaped your journey.
Sending you all my best wishes and positive energy. Embrace the challenge, trust in your abilities, and know that you're capable of great things.
Much love,
